The best kind of bread to use for this matcha French toast recipe is day-old bread, since this bread will absorb the batter better than fresher breads.

Matcha
Matcha powder comes from shade-grown tea leaves. This amazing green powder has many vitamins and nutrients. Matcha contains Vitamin C, natural caffeine, antioxidants, and L-theanine.
Prep
First, heat up your skillet at medium-low or medium heat. Then crack your eggs into a medium bowl. Next, add your milk, vanilla extract, and your matcha powder. Whisk ingredients together until blended thoroughly.
Cooking
Spread your butter evenly around the skillet with a spatula. Next, dip your bread gently on both sides with the liquid, then put on the skillet. Flip French toast after a couple minutes, or until it has browned slightly. Flip it again and repeat the previous steps. This French toast is best served fresh off the pan, with maple syrup or a strawberry jam.
