Garlic Swiss White Pizza Recipe
Introduction
This garlic Swiss white pizza recipe is a delicious success! Normally, people in my family don’t eat or enjoy Swiss cheese, but I was determined to make it work. I got some high-quality Swiss cheese on sale all the way from Switzerland, and I knew I had to turn it into something palatable for the entire family.
This is a fast and easy recipe for even beginner to make. All in all, it should take you less than 30 minutes to make, much of which is baking time.
In this recipe, I used a pre-made sourdough crust. If you do not have a crust already, use one of my recipes! You can find these recipes here. Just be sure to increase the dough by 1.5 to 2x.
Swiss Cheese
This garlic Swiss white pizza recipe uses Swiss cheese, which is a bit stronger than most people prefer. The garlic and Italian seasonings help to balance out the aftertaste, making this pizza more enjoyable for those who dislike that aspect of the cheese. The Italian seasoning is extremely important, and is not to be skipped.
In case you don’t have shredded Swiss cheese, simply use your hands to crumble the cheese yourself.
Butter
Since Swiss cheese has a strong flavor, I’ve found that adding a butter sauce helps to balance it out. Add your spices to the butter, then microwave for about 30 seconds, or until melted. Then stir butter thoroughly until dissolved. Next, pour the butter evenly over the crust, using a spoon to fix any disparities.
The butter makes a great tomato sauce alternative!
Toppings
For this recipe, I recommend using your fingers to sprinkle the Italian seasoning. This way, you won’t accidentally pour too much in one spot, which can ruin the pizza.
In general, when making pizza, fresh ingredients are best to use whenever possible. For example, minced garlic or diced onions may be used to replace the garlic and onion powders.
