Introduction
This apple cheddar cheese pizza recipe is a fantastic choice to make for dinner! The apple and cheddar flavors of this pizza blend splendidly, mixing both the sweet and savory aspects of each ingredient.
This apple cheddar pizza recipe is fast and easy to make. This is a good recipe for beginners to practice cooking with.
For this recipe, I used an already-made sourdough crust. If you do not have a crust already, feel free to use one of my other recipes! I have these recipes right here. Just be sure to increase the dough by twice the amount to create a 9-10 inch pizza!
Pizza Sauce
I used a three-cheese blend pizza sauce for this recipe. If you only have tomato sauce, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder to improve the flavor.
Cheddar
Cheddar is the classic staple cheese of America. For this recipe, I used a raw cheddar from a local farm. Whenever possible, use raw cheeses to enhance the flavors of your dishes. Supermarket cheeses cannot compare.
Apples
In this recipe, organic apples are the recommended choice. Apples are one of the most heavily pesticide-sprayed fruits, and we’re going to be eating the skin of the apple.
Using a small curved knife, cut the apple slices thinly, then place them evenly around the pizza crust. Placing the cheddar on top with cause the cheese to melt on top of the apple, which is ideal for maximum flavor.
