Pizza Sauce
For this pizza, I used an organic Italian pizza sauce. If you don’t have pizza sauce, you can use tomato sauce, with a 1/2 tsp each of onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Jarlsberg
Jarlsburg is a hard cheese from Norway. This cheese made from cow’s milk. It is a hard, pasteurized cheese and it’s the most popular imported cheese in the United States!
Chaumes is buttery, nutty, and has a very mild aftertaste. This cheese has no overbearing aroma.
When cutting cheese from the rind, it is best to use a straight knife instead of a curved one. Before placing Jarlsburg pieces, on the pizza sure that no rind is left on the cheese.
In between cutting the Jarlsberg, place the pieces evenly around the pizza.
Toppings
In this recipe, you may choose to sprinkle a some chopped onion on top of the pizza sauce. You may want to sprinkle will your hands to prevent spillage.
Typically, fresh ingredients are best for making pizza. If you already have freshly chopped onion, it will taste better than a dried spice.
